Advocacy day
An advocacy day, also called a fly-in or Hill day, is a coordinated day when an organization's members meet with their legislators about a specific issue, usually timed to a vote, deadline, or session.
The format concentrates dozens of meetings into one day, with teams organized by state or district so constituents sit across from their own representatives.
The preparation determines the value: one clear ask, teams with local voices, a tailored one-pager for every office, and follow-up within days. The meetings are the visible part. The prep and follow-through are the work.
