PolicyPage is an AI-powered tool that generates policy briefing documents based on user-provided inputs. The Service uses artificial intelligence and web search to produce policy briefs with citations. The Service is intended as a productivity tool for policy professionals and is not a substitute for professional legal, policy, or strategic advice.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account using Google authentication or email verification. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

THE SERVICE GENERATES CONTENT USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information despite our best efforts to ensure accuracy.
• All generated content should be reviewed, verified, and edited by a qualified professional before use in any official capacity.
• Citations and statistics included in generated briefs should be independently verified before reliance.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating all content before use.
• The Service does not provide legal, political, or strategic advice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations, including lobbying disclosure requirements
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written consent

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of the inputs you provide to the Service (talking points, reference materials, etc.). You grant us a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Generated Content: Subject to the rights of any third parties, you own the AI-generated policy briefs created through your use of the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with all applicable laws.

Our Service: The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by PolicyPage and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.

7. Payment and Subscriptions

Certain features of the Service require payment. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis
• Generation pack purchases are one-time payments and are non-refundable
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
• Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, POLICYPAGE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT GENERATED BY THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PolicyPage and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your use or distribution of AI-generated content; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PolicyPage regarding the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties.
